Oh, let it be so noted about my life! That my words, my love for those who love me — and even more, my love for those who don't love me—reveal that, yes, I have been with Jesus.

I am made to rise up, do battle with my issues and, using the Lord's strength in me, defeat them — spiritually, physically, and mentally — to the glory of God.

I can make the choice to leave the cookies in the bakery case and the chips on the grocery shelf, I could make the choice to walk away from that remark. That's what the apostle Paul was talking abut when he said, 'we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.' (2 Corinthians 10:5)

That's exactly what we do to find more of God—we practice belief. We exercise it.

Christianity does NOT replace the technical. When he tells you to feed the hungry and doesn't give you lessons in cookery. If you want to learn THAT, you must go to a cook rather than a Christian.

I have little doubt that the single greatest obstacle to the impact of the gospel has not been its inability to provide answers, but the failure on our part to live it out.

The reason why we fail to prevail with unconverted men is due to our more fundamental failure to prevail with God in prayer.

It is not by telling people about ourselves that we demonstrate our Christianity. Words are cheap. It is by costly, self-denying Christian practice that we show the reality of our faith.

It is not enough to say we are Christians. We must live the faith, not only with our words, but with our actions.

Unless there is an element of risk in our exploits for God, there is no need for faith.
