To live in the unconditional, inhaling only the unconditional, is impossible to man; he perishes lioke the fish forced to live in the air. But on the other hand, without relating himself to the unconditional, man cannot in the deepest sense be said to 'live'.

By Thy birth, and by Thy Cross, Rescue him from endless loss; By Thy death and burial, Save him from a final fall; By Thy rising from the tomb, By Thy mounting up above, By the Spirit's gracious love, Save him in the day of doom.

None are so sinful that they cannot find strength, purity, and righteousness in Jesus, who died for them.

If you have never felt or known the sheer power and strength of God's love, take another look at Jesus dying on the cross.

We do not realise that we are children of eternity. If we did, then success would be no success, and failure would be no failure to us.

Believing this, as I do, there is no resistance to the idea that what is foreign can be known. Can be understood. Can be held in the embrace of a love that is in fact the same Love that holds the Universe. Given this Earth on which we live and grow, given its beauty and generosity, its majesty and comfort, how can one doubt that one is loved? That in fact there is an abundance, not a scarcity of love? It is all anyone ever wants, really, I believe, and it is all around us while we starve.

John 1:12 says, 'As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.' And the apostle Paul told us in Ephesians, 'By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Maybe right now you can't see how to overcome an obstacle, accomplish your dreams, or forgive someone who hurt you, but understand that when you get there God will hand you the ticket. He purchased it two thousand years ago on a cross at Calvary.

Father, thank You that Your love is the real love that I need to change my life. Thank You that You sent Jesus as a sacrifice to take away my sins that I might receive Your love as a gift. I receive it now, and I believe I am the one whom You love. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

First John 4:10 says, "This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

God has all favorites. He's not like us in that way. He doesn't have to pick and choose, because He has unlimited love. He doesn't just show love, He doesn't just express
