God wants to be the most important thing in our lives. He wants to be our first passion, our first thought in the morning. He wants to be what gives our life purpose.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. When we're delighting in him, our desires come in line with his, not his with what we want.

There are some, like me, who are called to live a single life," I said softly. "For them it is always easy for they are, by their nature, content. Others, like Ellen, are called to prepare for marriage which may come in later life. They, too, are blessed, for God is using the in-between years to teach them that marriage is not the answer to unhappiness. Happiness is found only in a balanced relationship with the Lord Jesus.

Sometimes what we think will make us happy is the opposite of what God wants for us.

Good intentions center around us. We say, "Here's what I would like to be different about my life." Good intentions are me-centered. God intentions, on the other hand, are centered on what our Father wants for us. Our intentions tend to focus on what we think we want, but God intentions focus on what he knows we need.

If you want your ministry to have 'it', more important than anything else we've discussed, you must have 'it'. When it has filtered through your heart - the rare combination of passion, integrity, focus, faith, expectation, drive, hunger, and God's anointing - God tends to infuse your ministry with 'it'. He blesses your work. People are changed. Leaders grow. Resources flow. The ministry seems to take on a life of its own.

If you catch yourself wondering why you want more of the world and you're not satisfied with God, it's because you have a spiritual problem.

God's highest agenda is not our immediate happiness. I believe that God is much more committed to our eternal joy, our spiritual growth, and the condition of our hearts.

One of the first steps we should take in knowing God's voice is knowing God's heart.

As we ask God for some blessing, we have an obligation to participate ourselves in the fulfillment of those dreams, aspirations, hopes, and ideas.

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.

If you feel stuck, bring your whole self to Christ, not just the problem, but you. Ask God to change your heart. Commit yourself to pray to that end. It's God's heart to give good gifts to His children.
