Show me what to do, Lord, and help me to do it.

The Holy Spirit's desire is that we become more and more dependent upon Him for every step. That's because He wants to take us to places we've never been before. To heights we can't even imagine!

No matter how far off the path you have gotten from the plans and purposes God has for you, when you surrender your life to the Lord and declare your utter dependence upon Him, He carves a path from where you are to where you are supposed to be, and He sets you on it.

When we find ourself in the dark, we must stop what we're doing, look for His light, and listen for His voice. If He is directing us, yet we ignore it, fail to see it, refuse to do it, run from it, don't comprehend it, or deliberately disobey it, we will be miserably lost. We have to be still and know that He is God. We have to reach out to Him and He will give us a sense that He is there.

We can find ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time simply because we didn't do what God was telling us to do, or we neglected to ask Him what we were supposed to be doing before we made decisions. Or perhaps we asked Him, but we failed to wait for an answer before we went ahead and did what we wanted to do. So much grief can be avoided by living God's way.

I don't think God is ever done speaking into our lives. Even when we don't want to hear it. Even when our hearts are cold.

I do think that travel can be part of a journey of inner maturation, but you've got to do it right.

I have learnt not to ignore instincts. While making a film, when your gut feels that you are going wrong, please take that seriously.

Sometimes it's best to start moving in the direction you think God may want you to go, and then trust Him to lead you—closing doors He doesn't want you to go through and opening up others.

God speaks to those who are prepared in their hearts to listen. Discern the voice from heaven above the noisy din of earth's confusion.

God never directs in a way contrary to His character. When the Scriptures tell us that He will direct our paths, we can be assured that when He is in control, no matter how thorny the path, He will not tell us to jump off a cliff.

Before one can know what is right and wrong, he must first align himself with God. Only then is one in a position to do right.
