I am the Lord God, who teaches you for your benefit, who leads you in the way you should go. Isaiah 48:17

Sometimes we yearn for God to crack open a receptive door to share our faith. We scramble to grab an opportunity that never seems to come. Other times God swings open a door so quickly we're too stunned to walk through it!

God is where He calls us.

He will teach us about His ways so we may walk in His paths. Micah 4:2

Just take the next step. I'll show you what to do from there." During so much of this walk with God, we feel blindfolded. Certain seasons are pocked with such random events that we decide all is helter-skelter. Other seasons seem so illustriously orchestrated that the ties between events are like streamers of spun gold. From the very beginning, God geared the faith walk to be relational, not informational. The latter was always intended for the sake of the former.

As we seek to know His will and go where He sends us, God doesn't just wait for us at our next stop. He travels every mile right beside us.

We may plan to stay forever and commit with noble intentions to do one thing for the rest of our lives. But when the Spirit of God moves within us, we must move with Him or be miserable.

Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path. Psalm 119:105

This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth … for then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. Joshua 1:8

I know that the Lord is always on the side of the right; but it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation may be on the Lord's side.

When asking God for direction, ask Him to give you ears to hear it and the will and strength to follow it. Say, "God show me what to do and enable me to do it.

Walking through each day without a clear guide, an accurate map, and a consistent light source is hazardous to your well-being. Fortunately, God's Word provides us with the tools and help that we need.
