One thing that I've learned about myself is I have to trust what I see. And that maybe sounds silly, but there's things that I feel or see during a game that, you know, I used to explain it as I have an angel on one shoulder that's telling me to run the play and the devil on the other shoulder that's telling me really what I should do.

When asking God for direction, ask Him to give you ears to hear it and the will and strength to follow it. Say, "God show me what to do and enable me to do it.

It's always easier to see a lack of wisdom in others than it is to see it in ourselves. That's why we must pray daily for wisdom.

We will always need to ask God for His wisdom and counsel about everything, because He is the only one who knows the whole truth

Show me what to do, Lord, and help me to do it.

We can find ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time simply because we didn't do what God was telling us to do, or we neglected to ask Him what we were supposed to be doing before we made decisions. Or perhaps we asked Him, but we failed to wait for an answer before we went ahead and did what we wanted to do. So much grief can be avoided by living God's way.

Lord, show me how to gird up the core of my being with Your truth so that I don't fall into deception of any kind. Teach me to not only know Your truth, but to live in

Lord, I need to have Your Word come alive to me again. Make that happen, Father. Clear my mind and soul. Teach me new things. Help me to go deeper into Your Word than ever before.

Lord, I turn to You for all wisdom, direction, and guidance. Where I must seek advice from another person, help me to know when that person speaks from godly knowledge and when this is not the case. Help me to always test the input of others with Your Word. I want You to be my ultimate source for all knowledge.

Lord, speak to me about Your will for my life so that I can always walk in it. Your will is a place of safety and protection for me, and I need to know I am headed in the right direction. Help me to hear Your voice speaking to my heart telling me what to do, especially with regard to the decisions I need to make each day of my life.

I do think that travel can be part of a journey of inner maturation, but you've got to do it right.

I have learnt not to ignore instincts. While making a film, when your gut feels that you are going wrong, please take that seriously.
