Ministries that have it always have a clear vision

A ministry that doesn't have it simply follows the formula they used the year before and the year before that. People are bored, uninspired, and complacent. When a church doesn't have it, the staff is simply doing a job, drawing a paycheck, passing time. They're territorial. Jealous. Dissatisfied. Discontented. Even bitter.

most people unconsciously dream themselves out of their goals. They dream so far past their current reality—or what's currently possible—that they end up abandoning their goals and damaging their own self-esteem.

The future belongs to those who have the courage to create it. We need a new humanity. We need a new expression of community. We need the Church to bring the world together. This makes me excited.

When the church has occasion to set the rules for all society, it often veers toward the extremism

There is almost a sensual longing for communion with others who have a large vision.

I remembered seeing the lines of people who had waited for hours and hours to vote in the first democratic election in South Africa in 1994. The lines snaked on for miles. I remember wondering at the time, as U.S. voter turnout was hovering under forty percent, how long that sense of joy and appreciation for the right to vote would last and whether there was any way to revive it in America among those who have never been denied the right to vote.

It's always been my dream, it's always been my vision to work as an actor in Hollywood, in drag and out of drag.
