The only way to be obedient to the heavenly vision is to give our utmost for God's highest, and this can only be done by continually and resolutely recalling the vision.

So if you're dealing with a nonperforming employee, particularly on issues related to work ethic, I suggest that you begin by asking three questions: Has this employee received a written job description? Have you published some sort of general, written policy that outlines requirements for practical work issues like starting time, lunch breaks, stopping times, making or receiving personal phone calls, etc.? Does this person understand how you like to receive reports?

What is the big vision that you're working toward? What is the big dream you are investing in? What is your definition of the "good life"? When will you know that you have been successful? If you had it all, what would "all" look like?

Part of our motivation in life is having a future that we can look forward to. Your future is summed up in your dreams and visions: dreams of what can be and visions of what will be. Your vision is what you see before you actually see it. Your passion is what you feel that motivates you to pursue the vision or dream. When a person has no vision or passion, he or she will have a boring existence. With a vision but no passion a person will eventually lose energy to pursue their dream.
