The resistance to praying is like the resistance of tightly clenched fists. This image shows a tension, a desire to cling tightly to yourself, a greediness which betrays fear.

God is alone,-but the devil, he is far from being alone; he sees a great deal of company; he is legion.

Some Christians go to great trouble studying Satan's ways so they can identify his deceptions, but I don't do that. I'm determined not to focus on Satan—he is defeated. Christ, who guides me and implements His will through me, is the victor. The only way Satan can affect God's work through me is when I believe Satan and doubt God. Satan will try to deceive you, but he cannot ultimately thwart God's purposes.

God is not as interested in our origins as He is in our obedience. GOD

If you have a heart for living God's way, you will want to ensure that your life is answerable to him (Ps. 25:4-5).

Evil is the chronic malady of the universe, and checked in one place, breaks forth in another.

We have to say 'yes' to Jesus. Many have done that, but when saying 'yes' to Jesus, we must say at the same time 'no' to sin. Otherwise, that 'yes' to Jesus is invalid.

The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible.

A young man who knows and loves the Book of Mormon, who has read it several times, who has an abiding testimony of its truthfulness, and who applies its teachings will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil and will be a mighty tool in the hands of the Lord.

God is awesome; he doesn't need you to be awesome. He wants you to be obedient.
