You can't control what people do; you can't control what they say. But you can control how you respond. My message is very simple; quit giving away your joy. Quit letting the same people upset you. Quit letting the things that don't work out frustrate you.

I hear many people talk about their longing for a balanced life. What I think they are really expressing is a desire for a life with less pressure.

Negative minds full of fear and doubt produce negative lives, which can ultimately destroy your life.

Life isn't an emergency. Christ is in charge of every moment of the day; nothing catches Him off guard.

Through Scripture, we hear Christ's voice speaking into the outrage, giving us wisdom rather than forcing us to seek it from the chaotic masses. Through prayer, we cast our anxieties and fears upon Christ rather than pouring them out into a vat of outrage. Through fasting, we remind ourselves of the soul's dependence upon Christ and the insufficiency of everything else.

Human beings are very unbalanced and prone to go off on tangents. In every area of life- with too great emphasis on one thing, leaving out another important thing altogether. None of us will ever be perfectly balanced in our spiritual lives, our intellectual lives, our emotional lives, our family lives, in relationships with other human beings, or in our business lives. BUT WE ARE CHALLENGED TO TRY, WITH THE HELP OF GOD. We are meant to live in the scriptures.

For peace of mind, resign as general manager of the universe.

God tells us to burden him with whatever burdens us.

Not double trouble, but twice blessed.

Letting go isn't giving up. It's trusting God to do whatever He has to do.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest. JESUS, MATTHEW 11 : 29
