God has picked you out to pick you up.

The facts about our past are powerless against the blood of Jesus and the Truth of His Word.

Jesus did not die for us so we could have a religion. He died so we could have our sins forgiven.

John 11:43—44: "And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice,Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Forgiveness does not wipe away the consequences of the sin. The consequences are borne by somebody.

God may forgive sins, he said, but awkwardness has no forgiveness in heaven or earth

The Christian has a great advantage over other men, not by being less fallen than they, nor less doomed to live in a fallen world, but by knowing that he is a fallen man in a fallen world.

Religion would save a man; Christ would make him worth saving.

Grace is the mother and nurse of holiness, and not the apologist of sin.

Either sin is with you, lying on your shoulders, or it is lying on Christ, the Lamb of God.

God is far more willing to save sinners than sinners are to be saved.

You'll never be a mature Christian until you understand that God remembers his promises and forgets your sins.
