Folks make a terrible mistake when they put themselves in the devil's company and think they can outwit him. He's crafty and wants to eat you alive.

Not one word to stop me from doing something I shouldn't? 'No. By doing what you shouldn't, you will realize it yourself. As I said in the restaurant, the light in your soul is greater than the darkness. But for this you must go all the way to the end of the game.

Satan had made it his aim to distract you from who you really are and what the purpose of your life really is. It is his focused objective to lure you out of the path of strength, life, and authority and into a course of intentional destruction.

Attempting to defeat the enemy by wrestling with people could be likened to trying to destroy a tree by picking all its fruit.

We should not only refrain from thinking about gratifying our desires but also avoid focusing on not gratifying our desires. The way to deal with temptation is not to grit our teeth and make up our minds that we will not do a certain thing. The key is to fill our minds with other things.

Wise people put as much distance between themselves and sexual temptation as possible. They not only get away but also plan their escape route.

For many of us, it's just one thing standing in our way of completely following Jesus.

You can't build a foundation of sin now for a life of purity later.
