You and I have a "friend who sticks closer than a brother" (Prov. 18:24) for "greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). No matter what happens, no matter who rejects you or humiliates you, God will never betray you. Stay faithful, believer. You are on the winning team. The King of all kings will return and take His rightful throne.

He did not waver in unbelief at God's promise, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God. Romans 4:20

The LORD answered Moses, "I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My sight." Exodus 33:17

What does the Scripture say? " Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness." Romans 4:3

God gave the Israelites the Promised Land but told them they'd have to take what was theirs in fierce battle.

Wise God, You promise to guide the humble in what is right and teach them Your way. (Ps. 25:9) Give me a humble heart so I will follow You in what is right and learn Your way.

When we preach or teach the Scriptures, we open the door for the Holy Spirit to do His work. God has not promised to bless oratory or clever preaching. He has promised to bless His Word.

God's star promised peace to the whole world . . .too often man's synthetic stars bring fear and anxiety. Our gadget-filled paradise, suspended in a hell of international insecurity, certainly does not offer us the happiness of which the last century dreamed. But there is still a star in the sky.

It was God's love which knew that men were incapable of obeying His law, and it was His love which promised a Redeemer, a Savior, who would save His people from their sins.

We are living in an age of grace, in which God promises that "whosoever will" may come and receive His Son. But this period of grace will not go on indefinitely. We are even now living on borrowed time.

There are two realities to which you must cling. First, God has promised that you will receive the love you have been searching for. And second, God is faithful to that promise. So stop wandering around. Instead, come home and trust that God will bring you what you need. Your whole life you have been running about, seeking the love you desire. Now it is time to end that search. Trust that God will give you that all-fulfilling love and will give it in a human way.
