Now when you can no longer be active, and infirmities press upon you, all that God requires of you is to trust Him.

God is able to give you the power to endure that which cannot be changed... Why be anxious? Come what may, God is able.

When life is rosy, we may slide by with knowing about Jesus, with imitating him and quoting him and speaking of him. But only in suffering will we know Jesus.

Those who have courage and faith shall never perish in misery

God will either shield you from suffering or give you unfailing strength to bear it.

Why should I ever resist any delay or disapointment, any affliction or oppression or humiliation - when I know God will use it in my life to make me like Jesus and to prepare me for heaven?

Oh, Lord, I don't know what's happened over there, but You know. You see into men's hearts, and their plans are laid bare before You. Nothing is hidden. Jesus, please strengthen me. I'm an old man and tired of the battle. Renew me. Give me the strength to keep running the race.

God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.

With faith and obedience practiced long enough, the Holy Ghost becomes a constant companion, our natures change, and endurance becomes certain.

He who has courage and faith will never perish in misery!

It's easy to quit; it takes faith to go through.
