The ruin or blank, that we see when we look at nature is in our own eye...Love is as much its demand, as perception. Indeed neither can be perfect without the other.

What the hell are you getting so upset about? he asked her bewilderedly in a tone of contrite amusement. I thought you didn't believe in God. I don't, she sobbed, bursting violently into tears. But the God I don't believe in is a good God, a just God, a merciful God. He's not the mean and stupid God you make Him out to be.

God's love manifest through the sunrise and sunset, the mountain and the valley, the tree and the flower, the roar of the beast and the song of the bird. Through your heartbeat and your breathing, in His care for you and His supply of your needs, in taking care of you and watching over you. The Bible clearly declares His love when He says: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love.

Why wouldn't we run to God. He's sooo good. God's not mad at anybody. He just wants to help us be the best that we can be.

If you can believe the God who is perfect loves you then you can believe that you are worth loving.

Let us love one another, for love is from God; and he who loves [his fellowman] is born of God and is progressively coming to know and understand God.

God loves me unconditionally, and I receive His love!

Love has been perfected in me in this: that I may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so am I in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. I love Him because He first loved me. —1 JOHN 4:17-19 (NKJV)

May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love. —EPHESIANS 3:17

Lord, teach me what it means to be rooted deep in Your love and to be secure in my relationship with Jesus. You know my weaknesses and everything that seeks to control my life. You know the "fixes" that I have tried. Help me to know my freedom in Christ. Amen.

The first commandment is a declaration that the God of the exodus is unlike all the gods the slaves have known heretofore. This God is not to be confused with or thought parallel to the insatiable gods of imperial productivity. This God is subsequently revealed as a God of mercy, steadfast love, and faithfulness who is committed to covenantal relationships of fidelity (see Exod. 34:6—7).

I believe that the world was created and approved by love, that it subsists, coheres, and endures by love, and that, insofar as it is redeemable, it can be redeemed only by love.
