The right thing at the wrong tme is the wrong thing.

Courage is fear that has said its prayers and decided to go forward anyway.

With a twinkle in his eyes, my friend says that his favorite prayer is, "Lord, give me patience—and give it to me right now!

I have read the last page of the Bible. It is all going to turn out all right.

Many times I have been driven to prayer. When I was in Bible school I didn't know what to do with my life. I used to walk the streets . . . and pray, sometimes for hours at a time. In His timing, God answered those prayers, and since then prayer has been an essential part of my life.

But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.

God knows far better than we do what is best for us. Thank God even when He says "No" or "Wait." His answer is always perfect.

The eagle ... can lock its wings and wait for the right wind. He waits for the updraft and never has to flap his wings, just soar. As as we wait on God He will help us use the adversities and strong winds to benefit us. The Bible says, 'They that wait upon the Lord ... shall mount up with wings as eagles' (Isaiah 40:31)

Things will be OK in the end. If it's not OK, it's not the end.

So the power of prayer is found, not in convincing God of my agenda, but in waiting upon Him to hear His agenda.
