Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Sometimes the best answers to prayer are the ones God doesn't answer.

Lord Jesus,' Christy whispered, 'I want You to hold the key. I want You to decide what should happen in my heart's garden. I want You to let in or send out anything or anybody You want. Especially with guys. I don't want to ever unlock that gate again. I want you to open it only when the right man comes along. Take the key, Lord. Take all my keys. I'll wait for you.

When it feels like He's not hearing our prayers because we aren't getting immediate answers, He's still moving mountains on our behalf.

In our darkest moments, when we cry out to God and wonder if He's listening, He sometimes whispers, Wait. It's a hard word to hear yet comforting as well. It means He is there, He is with us, and He has a plan, even if it is not our plan.

Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.

We are never defeated unless we give up on God.

Rouse thee, my fainting soul, and play the man; And through such waning span of life and thought as still has to be trod, Prepare to meet thy God. And while the storm of that bewilderment Is for a season spent, And, ere afresh the ruin on me fall, Use well the interval.

Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass. God does not change. Patience achieves everything.

When you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.

The strength of patience hangs on our capacity to believe that God is up to something good for us in all our delays and detours.

Do not give way to lowness while you are young. Rise up on the strength of God and resolve to conquer.
