I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things...I play with leaves, I skip down the street and run against the wind.

Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.

It may seem strange but doing the will of God is a different matter than just doing what God wants us to do. The two are so far removed, in fact, that we can be solidly in the will of God, and know that we are, without knowing God's preference with regard to various details of our lives.

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.

Complaining begets more complaints. Anger begets more anger. And optimism begets more optimism.

The chance you had is the life you've got. You can make complaints about what people, including you, make of their lives after they have got them, and about what people make of other people's lives, even about the you children being gone, but you mustn't wish for another life. You mustn't want to be somebody else. What you must do is this: 'Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks.

She was another gift, surely, to us all. She was a happiness that made me cry.

There's not more power in a lot of people praying because the power comes from God and not the people. But what happens when many pray for the same thing is an opportunity for God's glory. Everything comes back to the glory of God. Everything in history, the purpose of our lives, is the glory of God. Every breath we take.
