To be happy we need someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to. I

You can spoil your fun, your day, your life—that's your business—but I won't let you spoil my fun, my day, or my life.

Sometimes we praise because we choose to; other times we praise because we want to. Occasionally we praise because we have to—because, if we don't, the rocks will cry out!

Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever. (Ps. 30:11—12)

Help me, Holy Spirit of God, to pray according to Your will. Speak to me as I read Your Word so that I can grow in understanding. Enable me to pray in power and alignment with what pleases You. Thank You for the times I prayed for something and You didn't give it to me because it would not have been good. I can see that now, and I am grateful.

Thank You, God, that You never forget me. You always remember me and my situation, and You never ignore my cries to You when I am in need. I praise You in the middle of the struggles I face, knowing that worshiping You is my greatest weapon against the enemy of my soul. Help me to not just survive the attacks of the enemy, but to push the enemy back and crush him.

The most important thing is not to get what we want in prayer, but to accomplish what God wants.

Our joy does not have to be based on our circumstances.

God wants us to know His will and He reveals it to us both through the Bible and through the guidance of His Holy Spirit. Seek God's will when you pray, and He will help you know it.

Joy is not gush; Joy is not jolliness. Joy is simply perfect acquiescence in God's will, because the soul delights itself in God Himself.

If we are to depend on prayer during tough times, we should be people of prayer before the crisis hits.
