A man's pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.

For men to search their own glory is not glory.

For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Strength and honor are her clothing.

Why was man created on the last day? So that he can be told, when pride possesses him: God created the gnat before thee.

Pride is hateful before God and man.

As with the maid, so with her mistress.

Many are in high place, and of renown: but mysteries are revealed unto the meek.

He is a king over all the children of pride.

Walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet.

Lord, forgive me. You said go to her, and I let pride stand in my way. You said she needed me, and I didn't believe. You said love her, and I thought it would be easy. Help me. Open my heart and mind so that I will love her as you have loved me.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself. PHILIPPIANS 2 : 3
