Can't never go by your feelings. Got to go by the word of the Lord.

When the world beats you down, open up your Bible.

Now I'm not saying the act of going to church fixes everything. Just as simply looking at a restaurant menu won't give you nourishment. We've got to engage with what's offered if it's going to do us any good. But putting my heart in a place to receive truth certainly got me going in a different direction.

The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. —PSALM 37:23—24

The more we read God's truths and let truth fill our minds, the less time we'll spend contemplating untruths.

God, I want Your truth to be the loudest voice in my life. Correct me. Comfort me. Come closer still. And I will trust. God, You are good at being God.

Since Satan's goal is to separate us from the Lord, this is exactly where he wants us to stay. But the minute we turn to His Word is the minute the gap between us and God is closed. He is always near. His Word is full and fully able to reach those deep places inside us desperate for truth.

Don't we get into God's Word so it can get into us? So that it can interrupt us, change us, satisfy us? How sad to simply settle for learning facts about the Bible when it was meant for so much more

Lord, what will fix this? What will take away this feeling that I'm going to be stuck in seasons of darkness the rest of my life?" Three words popped into my mind: Turn to Me.

We must spend time with God, letting His truths become part of who we are and how we live.

Don't second-guess what God is doing. Rather, look for ways to dig deeper into His Word, His character, and His faithfulness in this time.
