God is not a hypothesis derived from logical assumptions, but an immediate insight, self-evident as light. He is not something to be sought in the darkness with the light of reason. He is the light.

Take a wrong turn. Get lost in something you love.

Your subconscious has access to all the same information your conscious mind receives, but it doesn't reason the way your conscious mind does. It takes everything literally. It doesn't make value judgments. It does not filter or interpret, it simply processes information literally and stores it.

The Koran, the revealed word of God, was the closest thing to a miracle in Mohammed's life. He had not been a poet; he had no gift of words. Yet the verses of the Koran, as he received them and recited them to the faithful, were better than any verses which the professional poets of the tribes could produce. This, to the Arabs, was a miracle. To them the gift of words was the greatest gift, the poet was all-powerful.

You will write better letters, you will converse better, you will enjoy social intercourse better if you read helpful reading matter from books and read newspapers very sparingly.

Which should be an excellent reminder that when God tells you to do something, you'd better do it; He always has a reason.

I gird myself today with the power of God: God's strength to comfort me, God's might to uphold me, God's wisdom to guide me, God's eye to look before me, God's ear to hear me, God's word to speak for me, God's hand to lead me, God's way to lie before me, God's shield to protect me. ..

I happen to watch public television more than anything else. I'm also a news junkie, so I watch a lot of CNN.

The Book of Mormon Is the Word of God.

I don't know whether we Church members fully appreciate the Book of Mormon, one of our sacred scriptures, as we really should.

No matter how hard we try to ignore it, the mind always knows truth and wants clarity.
