Good days. Bad days. God is in all days.

His life was one of simplicity and deprivation.

Heaven has a place for you. Paul knew this. "For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong" (Acts 27:23).

Trust God's hold on you more than your hold on God. His faithfulness does not depend on yours. His performance is not predicated on yours. His love is not contingent on your own. Your candle may flicker, but it will not expire. God's love for you does not—will not—end.

He motions for you to lean forward. "I have a secret to tell you," he whispers, "the secret of satisfaction. 'The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want'" (Ps. 23: 1 NKJV). David has found the pasture where discontent goes to die. It's as if he is saying, "What I have in God is greater than what I don't have in life.

God's gifts and God's call are under full warranty— never canceled

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. JOSHUA 1:9

Today, God, help me relax and enjoy the scenery. Help me know I'm right where I need to be on my journey.

you don't fully appreciate what you've got until something threatens to take it away.
