This is my commandment," Jesus said, putting before us a single ideal, "That you love one another, as I have loved you" (John 15:12). The simplicity and force of this statement take away the breath.

Jesus teaches us to give richly, serve sacrificially, and love unconditionally.

Everything want to be loved. Us sing and dance and holler, just trying to be loved.

Everybody needs love. Everybody. Those who don't believe that frighten me a little.

Here see the opposite disposition between the holy nature of Christ, and the impure nature of man. Man for a little smoke will quench the light; Christ ever we see cherisheth even the least beginnings. How bare he with the many imperfections of his poor disciples. If he did sharply check them, it was in love, and that they might shine the brighter. Can we have a better pattern to follow than this of him by whom we hope to be saved?

God will judge us not according to how much we endured, but how much we could love

There is no end to relationship. There may be the end of a particular relationship, but relationship can never end; to be is to be related.

The Christian view is that men were created to be in a certain relationship to God (if we are in that relation to Him, the right relation to one another will follow inevitably).

Even if a unity of faith is not possible, a unity of love is.

Religions all have different names, but they all contain the same truths. ... I think the people of our religion should be tolerant and understand people believe different things.

Religion has nothing to do with compassion; it is our love for God that is the main thing because we have all been created for the sole purpose to love and be loved.

The genuine and simple religion of Jesus will one day be restored: such as it was preached and practiced by Himself.
