We must enter into a covenant with God that we will love one another with a heavenly love.

Those who love most are the most ready for His coming. Love to each other is the life and beauty of His bride, the church.

We often do not yield ourselves to God in obedience to His commandment to love our fellow men with Christ's love. What if that love should flow out to all around, even to those who hate us? This would require much grace and cost us time and trouble and serious prayer.

God's love to me, and my love to God, and my love to my fellowmen. The three are one; you cannot separate them.

This is my commandment, the Saviour says, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. He sometimes spoke of commandments, but the love, which is the fulfilling of the law, is the all-including one, and therefore is called His commandment--the new commandment. It is to be the great evidence of the reality of the New Covenant, of the power of the new life revealed in Jesus Christ.

There is great need for the preaching of love. God sometimes allows bitterness to arise between Christians, that they may view the terrible power of sin in their hearts and shrink back at the sight. How greatly a minister and his people should feel the importance of Christ's command to love one another. A life of great holiness will result, if we only but love each other as Christ loves us.

God is love. Christ is the Son of His love. And because He loved His people to the end, He asked them to prove their love to Him by obeying His commands, and by loving one another with the love with which He loves them. In heaven and on earth, and in all our work for Christ and our care for the world, the greatest thing is love.

In My greatest hour of need, My closest friends deserted Me. Judas betrayed Me, Peter denied Me, and the rest fled for their lives. Only John followed from afar. I had cared for them for over three years, feeding them and teaching them. Yet as I died for the sins of the world, I forgave. I released all of them—from My friends who had deserted Me to the Roman guard who had crucified Me. They didn't ask for forgiveness, yet I freely gave it.

Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls it tolls for thee.

Yet, Jesus is selfless in the way He gives His life away for you. So if your gaze is on Him, you will treat others as He is treating you.

The giving of love is an education in itself.

A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved.
