The sovereign cure for worry is prayer.

When the problem is worry, the prescription is prayer.

Either worrying drives out prayer, or prayer drives out worrying.

Worry increases pressure; prayer releases peace.

Worry is the facade of taking action when prayer really is.

Think not of the amount to be accomplished, the difficulties to be overcome, or the end to be attained, but set earnestly, at the little task at your elbow, letting that be sufficient for the day.

In the words of the Scottish proverb, 'Be happy while you're living, for you're a long time dead.

Do not allow fear to bind you up, dear one. You will only lose what you already have. Accept what is given now. ~Yeshua

It is the fashion to style the present moment an extraordinary crisis.

Single life may be only a stage of a life's journey, but even a stage is a gift. God may replace it with another gift, but the receiver accepts His gifts with thanksgiving. This gift for this day. The life of faith is lived one day at a time, and it has to be lived—not always looked forward to as though the "real" living were around the next corner. It is today for which we are responsible. God still owns tomorrow.

Today is mine. Tomorrow is none of my business. If I peer anxiously into the fog of the future, I will strain my spiritual eyes so that I will not see clearly what is required of me now.
