Friends are the family we can choose.

When we've lost a friend, when a dream has failed, when we seem to have nothing left in the world to make life beautiful—that's when God says, You're richer than you think.

Happiness is not dependent on happenings, but on relationships in the happenings.

When he chose friends, Jesus surrounded himself with the lonely, the broken, and the overlooked. God is calling you to be a part of his church, to be his church. If you don't feel like you're good enough, then you're exactly who he's looking for.

If you had a friend you refused to talk to, eventually you couldn't keep calling that person a friend anymore.

Loving the One is critically important to finding happiness with your Two. And loving your Two is one of the best ways to love the One.

Love is the flower of life, and blossoms unexpectedly and without law, and must be plucked where it is found, and enjoyed for the brief hour of its duration.

It's always good to have other people who you can lean on and pick you up when you're down and vice versa.

The events these two have weathered make me marvel. This is what's possible when love is real and strong, when people are devoted to one another, when they'll sacrifice anything to be together. This is what I want for myself, but I sometimes wonder if it's possible for our modern generation. We're so distracted, so…busy.

We all have scars. It's when you're honest about them that you find the people who will love you in spite of your nicks and dents. Perhaps even because of them. The people who don't. These people aren't the ones for you.

Sisters are created not by blood but by love.
