By Christ's power, we forgive the person we're angry with.

Forgiveness is when you turn to the Lord in prayer and say, "God, by the grace of Jesus I want you to know I forgive this person. You forgave me. I forgive them. I can't hold against this person more than what you chose not to hold against me." You have the power, because of the cross, to say, "I forgive you.

PRAYER Father, shake me from my slumber. Forgive me when I accuse You of failing to keep Your promises. Thank You for today, a fresh gift of grace. May I use it well to speak of Your mercy and extend Your Gospel, as I wait for You. Amen.

God was very creative with plants and their seeds. But there's one kind of seed He wants you to spread: the seed of kindness. Being kind means more than just smiling and being nice. It takes courage to be kind to that kid everybody else picks on or that person who's different from you. And it takes strength to be kind when you're tired or when others aren't so kind to you. But when you plant a seed of kindness, it grows . . . and spreads!

Lord, plant a seed of kindness in my heart and let it grow so big that I just have to share it with everyone I meet.

Do not do wrong to a person to pay him back for doing wrong to you. Or do not insult someone to pay him back for insulting you. But ask God to bless that person. Do this, because you yourselves were called to receive a blessing. —1 PETER 3:9 ICB

As I forgive myself, it becomes easier to forgive others.

There is as much greatness of mind in acknowledging a good turn, as in doing it.

Keep in mind, hurting people often hurt other people as a result of their own pain. If somebody is rude and inconsiderate, you can almost be certain that they have some unresolved issues inside. They have some major problems, anger, resentment, or some heartache they are trying to cope with or overcome. The last thing they need is for you to make matters worse by responding angrily.

When God puts love and compassion in your heart toward someone, He's offering you an opportunity to make a difference in that person's life. You must learn to follow that love. Don't ignore it. Act on it. Somebody needs what you have.

When an offense occurs, a debt is owed. You have heard it said, "He'll pay for this." So forgiveness is like the cancellation of a debt.

Satan, you are the enemy of my soul, and I refuse to allow you to ensnare me in your hidden and baited trap of offense against my brothers and sisters in Christ.
