To pray without expectation is to misunderstand the whole concept of prayer and relationship with God.

In our worship we find for the most part what we expect to find.

Faith is a passionate intuition.

So that almost a doubt within me springs   Of Providence, such emptiness at length   Seems at the heart of all things. But, great God!   I measure back the steps which I have trod

You have the resources within you, and now you know the elements needed in incubation to make your faith usable. Get a clear-cut goal and objective. Have a desire that burns to the boiling point, then pray until you have the substance, the assurance. Then begin to speak the word about which you have been given assurance.

It goes back to the passage from Proverbs. We don't know what to do, where to go, or how. So I thought we'd try and take this time to find out what we want, and what God wants, and pray for each other.

Thank God for allowing you to see another day. No matter what, keep trusting, keep believing, be strong, have hope. The best is yet to come.

Turbulence means nothing if God is the pilot.

Understanding is the reward of faith. Therefore, seek not to understand that you may believe, but believe that you may understand.

Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.

If you have abandoned one faith, do not abandon all faith. There is always an alternative to the faith we lose. Or is it the same faith under another name?

Faith comes to intelligence as a light that overflows it with joy and inspires it with a certitude that does away with question.
