When life gets tough, when you're overwhelmed with doubt, or when you wonder if living for Christ is worth the effort, remember that you are not home yet. At death you won't leave home — you'll go home.

Realizing that life on earth is just a temporary assignment should radically alter your values. Eternal values, not temporal ones, should become the deciding factors for your decisions. As C. S. Lewis observed, "All that is not eternal is eternally useless." The Bible says, "We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

We have been given God in our souls and Christ in our flesh. We have the power to believe where others deny, to hope where others despair, to love where others hurt.

One person can make a difference. You don't have to be a big shot. You don't have to have a lot of influence. You just have to have faith in your power to change things.

What you believe has more power than what you dream or wish or hope for. You become what you believe.

Taking a step without knowing the end result is the only way we develop faith and not only this, it's a practice that connects us with a power greater than ourselves.

It is beyond my power to induce in you a belief in God. There are certain things which are self proved and certain which are not proved at all.

Prayer is not trying to twist God's arm to make Him do something. Prayer is receiving by faith what He has already done!
