This is a powerful, powerful, powerful way to live. Sure, this mind-set doesn't preclude doing our best to right wrongs, seek justice, and find cures. But in the process of taking action, we must understand that God is in charge.

It changes your outlook to know that almighty God is in every circumstance with you.

The miraculous is always happening, even though we forget it or even when our faith is too small to trust God for miracles or even when we don't see the miracles occurring. God is always still at work, and God will always provide for us.

Our ultimate defense against giants—the best defense we have—is to lean into the all-sufficiency of Jesus.

It starts with seeing and believing that whatever giant we're battling might be big—but it's not bigger than Jesus. Nine feet tall is nothing to him. And he intends to set you free.

Do we want to combat the fear in our lives? The battle is not ours. The battle belongs to the Lord. Jesus has already taken the sling and the stone and slain the giant. The giant of fear has already fallen. The work is already done by Christ on the cross. Our responsibility is to have faith. That's the antidote. God is able. Jesus is enough. When we set our eyes on him, we will not be shaken. We will rest secure.

Have you ever been abandoned? Left behind? Sold out? Maybe not dropped literally down a dry hole, but that's how you felt.

The antidote to fear is faith, and the soundtrack of faith is worship.

Jesus promises in Psalm 23 that peace, victory, and freedom will come in the midst of problems, pain, and loss. That's how we develop an 'even though' kind of faith. We live by knowing that, in the midst of a broken world, God Almighty is with us.

Dear Lord, when storms come—in the skies, in the people around me, or in my heart—help me to remember that You are right there with me and that You are bigger than any storm!

We are more often frightened than hurt and we suffer more from imagination than from reality.

It may amuse you to hear a Story. A few days ago, in Company with Dr Zubly, somebody said, there was nobody on our side but the Almighty. The Dr. who is a Native of Switzerland, and speaks but broken English, quickly replied 'Dat is enough.
