It's fear that makes an act courageous.

God, what is going on? Why are You leaving me with the one man who has the power to break me?

When you can't trust others, and you can't trust yourself, you can always trust God. He'll carry you through whatever comes your way.

Lord, there is no one like You to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on You, and in Your name we have come against this vast army. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You.(2 Chronicles 14:11 niv)

Furthermore, when God chooses you to do something for Him, He knows you can do it. He never chooses you to do something that you are not capable of doing by His grace. Never run away from your calling out of fear that you will fail.

We are not responsible for what breaks us, but we can be responsible for what puts us back together again. Naming the hurt is how we begin to repair our broken parts.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to act despite it.

A young man is afraid of his demon and pulls his hand over the demon's mouth sometimes and speaks for him.

I was drafted into the Army when I was 19 and came out at age 22. Most people that I knew didn't think they'd come home alive. I didn't think I would either, so I was happy when I did.

I was never super comfortable playing music in front of people anyway. Now I enjoy it, but it wasn't the easiest thing to get past.

I found peace through God but not until I had driven myself to the edge.
