Fear is the great enemy of intimacy. Fear makes us run away from each other or cling to each other but does not create true intimacy.

The Lord God carries us throughout our lives just as a father carries his child. The Lord carried me, and He still is. He made you. He knows what you're good at. He knows what you can do and what you can become. Trust Him. Love Him. He'll always love you back.

Do but stand still in the hour of trial, and you will see the help of God, if you trust in Him. But there is so often a forsaking the ways of the Lord in the hour of trial, and thus the food of faith, the means whereby our faith may be increased, is lost.

In truth, I have done nothing alone. God has called me and has been my pilot. The Holy Spirit has been my comforter, my guide, and my power source.

God is the only comfort, He is also the supreme terror: the thing we most need and the thing we most want to hide from.

You should therefore say: alone in one's boat, alone with one's care, alone with one's despair, which one is craven enough to want rather to keep than submit to the pain of being healed.

God's got you in the palm of His hand. You won't leave one second before your time. If God wants you to be here, then you're going to be here.

Giving in to fear alters God's best plan for your life. So use the power of God's Word to do what He wants you to do...even if you have to do it afraid! The rewards are great.

The fear is suffocating, terrorizing, and I want the remedy, and it is trust. Trust is everything.

God can handle all your needs, mend the heart that hurts and bleeds, give the lonely something true that changes lives and makes them new. Jesus heals the fractured soul, makes it breathe, makes it whole, gives us hope when hope is gone, breaks the darkness, offers dawn, to all who follow, all who dare— the door is open, love is there.

Without hope, the only thing that keeps you going is either momentum or fear.

Mary knew God loved her. From the moment Gabriel appeared to her, Mary has a distinct sense that God's presence was with her and His hand upon her. She didn't understand everything that was happening, but she was certain that God would be with her through it all.
