God] oversees your world. He monitors your life. He doesn't need to check the doors; indeed, he is the door. Nothing will come your way apart from his permission.

God is in this crisis. Ask him to give you an index card—sized plan, two or three steps you can take today. Seek counsel from someone who has faced a similar challenge. Ask friends to pray. Look for resources. Reach out to a support group. Most importantly, make a plan.

We have a heavenly Father who is with us through every trial.

Precious Lord, take my hand, Lead me on, let me stand, I am tired, I am weak, I am worn; Through the storm, through the night, Lead me on to the light: Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.4

May I laugh, listen, learn, and love. And tomorrow, if it comes, may I do so again. A new day awaits you, my friend. A new season in which you will worry less and trust more. A season with reduced fear and enhanced faith. Can you imagine a life in which you are anxious for nothing? God can. And, with his help, you will experience it.

No longer shall the earth and its fears dominate us, for we follow the One who dominates the earth.

The crowd removed the garments off their backs and spread them in the path of Christ. Let this "throwing" be your first response to bad news. As you sense anxiety welling up inside you, cast it in the direction of Christ. Do so specifically and immediately.

He will help you as well, my friend. Guard your thoughts and trust your Father.

Choose Calm 6.?Ponder this statement: "The mind cannot at the same time be full of God and full of fear.

Are you feeling exposed to the storms of life? Read Psalm 91, a wonderful promise from God. When we love him and tell others about that love, he moves to protect us. "I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them" (v. 15 NLT).

But God will use this mess for good. In the meantime don't be foolish or naive. But don't despair either. With God's help you will get through this.
