The influence of sin touches the innocent as well as the guilty.

Sin is rebellion against God.

Sinners, pray to a merciful God for forgiveness.

The law enables us to see ourselves as morally dirty and in need of cleansing. But it also points us to the place of cleansing: the cross of Christ.

Two thousand years ago God invited a morally corrupt world to the foot of the cross. There God held your sins and mine to the flames until every last vestige of our guilt was consumed.

It is the presence of sin that prevents man from being truly happy.

It is the Holy Spirit who brings about conviction [of sin] . . .repentance cannot take place unless first there is a movement of the Holy Spirit in the heart and mind.

Do you have that hope of eternity in your heart right now? Do you know—beyond doubt—that some day you will join the angels in heaven in singing praises to God? If not, make your commitment to Christ today. Without Christ you are separated from God and without hope of eternal life. You need to have your sins forgiven, and you need to be renewed and cleansed by the power of God. And this can happen if you will give your life to Christ and trust Him as your personal Lord and Savior.

Anyone who has genuinely seen God is deeply convicted of his or her own sin.

We can be convicted of sin—we can pray and confess our sin—we can repent—but the real test is our willingness to obey.

If the truth scares you, know that it is your guilty conscience reacting to Truth.

As humans we have two great spiritual needs. The first is forgiveness, which God has made possible by sending His Son into the world to die for our sins. Our second need, however, is for goodness, which God also made possible by sending the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.
