The narrow gate is not, as so often assumed, doctrinal correctness. The narrow gate is obedience—and the confidence in Jesus necessary to it.

Our actions determine our dispositions.

Our beliefs are not just estimates of probabilities. They are also the instruments that guide our actions.

Many times people back away from things they want to do, from the dreams they have nurtured, because they cannot envision a clear way to bring those goals to reality. Mama lived by the saying "You must walk by faith and not by sight." She believed that if you summon the courage to go after your dream, life will provide the answers.

Good works are the seals and proofs of faith; for even as a letter must have a seal to strengthen the same, even so faith must have good works.

Faith is acting as if God is telling the truth. It is acting as if something is true even when it doesn't appear to be true in order that it might be shown to be true simply because God said it's true.

Faith is something that comes out of the soul. It is not an information that is absorbed but an attitude, existing prior to the formulation of any creed.

Your attitude determines your actions, and your actions determine your accomplishment.

Faith is the key to a successful Christian life. It enables you to reach out and accept the gift of salvation. And it is faith that takes you by the hand and walks you from one level of spiritual maturity to another. That is why the Word of God says, "Without faith it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews 11:6).

No one will ever be moved to Spirit-led action without faith. One's faith is not genuine unless it moves him or her to action. Faith and works are necessary companions. The faith produces the works, while the works demonstrate the genuineness of the faith.

Choose reality, Sarah. It's the only place where strength and faith can begin to work.
