May God in his mercy lead us through these times; but above all, may he lead us to himself...

From the beginning of his time until the end, Bonhoeffer maintained the daily discipline of scriptural meditation and prayer he had been practicing for more than a decade. Each morning he meditated for at least half an hour on a verse of Scripture. And he interceded for his friends and relatives, and for his brothers in the Confessing Church who were on the front lines or in concentration camps.

It was not apathy or passiveness. For him, prayer was a display of the strongest possible activity.

God cares about every area of our lives, and God wants us to ask for help.

We always project into the future or reflect in the past, but we are so little in the present.

Reflection makes men cowards.

I pray while driving. I pray while working, and while relaxing.

We need to not just ask God but thank Him for everything like our health, our family. And ask Him to bless our homes and to always be present in our daily lives. And to keep us safe is most important.

We may run, walk, stumble. drive, or fly, but let us never lose sight of the reason for the journey, or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way.

Prayer, in it's simplest form, is finding out what God wants to do and then asking Him to do it.

Prayer is the idea of wishing for something from the depth of our hearts and bringing that desire forward to the throne of God.

If I ever write a book, 'I Should Have Worn Comfortable Shoes' would be the title.
