Tell the students to give up their small ambitions and come eastward to preach the gospel of Christ.

A God-centered theology has to be a missionary theology

We, the Church, hold the keys. We are His body—His hands, feet, voice—and what He does, He will do through us. We are Plan A, and there is no Plan B.

If you are willing to obey God fully, walk in faith and never give up, you can have anything God wants you to have. And that absolutely includes revival in your local community.

Anything we accomplish of eternal value is brought about by the ability and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

What's unique about Washington is that no one's from here. Almost everybody came here to change the world, to make a difference.

I still enjoy watching a batter successfully cross home plate, but nothing thrills me more than seeing the Holy Spirit at work in hearts as the Gospel is carried into stadiums, across the airwaves, and around the world.

I would say it simply: No one can give that which he doesn't personally possess, which means we cannot transmit the Holy Spirit in an effective way, render the Spirit perceptible, if we ourselves aren't close to the Spirit.

When my dad founded our church, he used either a globe or a map of the world behind him. It was symbolic of what Christ said: to go forth and preach hope to the world. We believe in the cross, but we just continued with the globe.

In our day heaven and earth are on tiptoe waiting for the emerging of the Spirit-led, Spirit-intoxicated, Spirit-empowered people. All of creation watches expectantly for the springing up of a disciplined, freely gathered, martyr people who know in this life the life and power of the Kingdom of God. It happened before, it can happen again.

The only group large enough to handle, the world's biggest, problems is the network of millions of local churches around the world. We have the widest distribution, largest group of volunteers, local credibility, the promises of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the inevitability of history.
