17The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purposes lives forever.

Our actions are a direct result of our thoughts. If we have a negative mind, we will have a negative life. If, on the other hand, we renew our mind according to God's Word, we will, as Romans 12:2 promises, prove out in our experience "the good and acceptable and perfect will of God" for our lives.

I know of only one way to overcome the results of a series of bad decisions, and that is through a series of good ones.

Positive minds produce positive lives. Negative minds produce negative lives. Positive thoughts are always full of faith and hope. Negative thoughts are always full of fear and doubt.

Trust in Him If it's not already here, your next change is on the way. Build your trust in God now by preparing your heart through spending time in His Word and coming to Him in prayer.

Trust in Him What negative thought has been harassing your mind? Replace it with a promise from God's Word that you can trust.

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

You are never going to enjoy the promise of the new life (see Rom. 4:16) Jesus died to give you until you change the way you think. It's not about what you can do—it's about what Jesus has done for you.

Bad habits are like a comfortable bed, easy to get into, but hard to get out of." Bruce Barton said, "What a curious phenomenon it is that you can get men to die for the liberty of the world who will not make the little sacrifice that is needed to free themselves from their own individual bondage.

Right believing leads to right living! Right believing leads to a life of peace, joy, and fulfillment!

I'm not where I need to be, but Thank God I'm not where I use to be. I'm okay and I'm on my way!

If you want to be free of trying to figure everything out, you can develop the mind of the Spirit by constantly renewing your mind with the Word. Little by little, the Word will wash away the wrong thinking and replace it with truth . . . follow that truth instead of your own ability to reason things out and you'll have new life and peace.
