The little slogan, "Let go, and let God," is not what the New Testament teaches—at least that is only part of the truth, for the act of total submission to the sovereignty of Jesus Christ is but the beginning of a new régime in your heart. No longer is the puppet king Self upon the throne, but the great King of kings and Lord of lords has stepped in to take over the government of your life.

This is a serious warning cry: Surrender without reservation to the Lord who has called us. This is required of us so that the face of the earth may be renewed.

D.L. Moody heard somebody say that the world has not yet seen what God could do with one man who would be totally surrendered to Him. And D.L. Moody said, "I want to be that man.

Don't listen to the enemy. The devil came to kill, steal and destroy (see John 10:10). All he offers is death. Instead, if you want to live, listen to the life-giving words of the Word of God.

God has established what man is supposed to do, and he expects man to do it his way and not a way independently of him. And when you do things independently of him, you have consequences you don't want to bear.

Satan would have you believe that happiness comes only as you surrender to his enticements, but one only needs to look at the shattered lives of those who violate God's laws to know why Satan is called the Father of Lies.

Let no one flatter himself; of himself he is Satan. Let man take sin, which is his own, and leave righteousness with God.

The devil never tempted a man whom he found judiciously employed.

It is true, that men may have Christ whenever they are willing to comply with His terms. But if you are not willing now, how can you think you shall be willing hereafter?

When a man understands who he is, who God is, who the devil is... then he can pick himself up out of the gutter; he can clean himself up and stand up like a man should before his God.
