Satan still takes advantage of women and men, seizing their powers of influence for his own purposes.

A big difference exists between trying to manipulate God to give us what we want and cooperating with God so He can give us what He wants. The latter is our goal.

I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be corrupted from a complete and pure devotion to Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3

The accuser of our brothers has been thrown out: the one who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10

Then they may come to their senses and escape the Devil's trap, having been captured by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:26

When we live under the umbrella of God's authority and seek to obey His commands, the enemy may oppose us and even oppress us, but he cannot thwart the fulfillment of God's plan for our lives.

Let's be careful, though, that we don't err in the opposite extreme of faithless caution. A big difference exists between trying to manipulate God to give us what we want and cooperating with God so He can give us what He wants. The latter is our goal.

Lord, I have too long given the devil a foothold. (Eph. 4:27) Please help me to stop offering him so many opportunities to bring defeat into my life. Your plan for me is victory.

If we have received Christ as our Savior, Satan is forced to work from the outside rather than the inside. Thus, he manipulates outside influences to affect the inside decision-makers of the heart and mind.

We quench or grieve the Holy Spirit by refusing His authority over us. In other words, by choosing not to yield to Him.

We've been called to share Jesus with the lost and give our testimonies anytime we have the opportunity to tell another person of our hope. We've been called to pray. We've been called to disciple others, teaching God's Word and ways. We've been called to resist the devil as Christ did, with the spoken Word of God. We've even been called to speak to some mountains and tell them to move!
