Unless you have made a complete surrender and are doing his will it will avail you nothing if you've reformed a thousand times and have your name on fifty church records.

Temptation is the devil looking through the keyhole. Yielding is opening the door and inviting him in.

Surrender means, by definition, giving up attachment to results. When we surrender to God, we let go of our attachment to how things happen on the outside and we become more concerned with what happens on the inside.

A healthy church is not a church that's perfect and without sin. It has not figured everything out. Rather, it's a church that continually strives to take God's side in the battle against the ungodly desires and deceits of the world, our flesh, and the devil. It's a church that continually seeks to conform itself to God's Word.

Forgetfulness of God's grace is one of the greatest tools in the enemy's war against our souls.

Life is a war against a spiritual enemy we cannot see. We can't win on our own, but the God who sees all gives us courage, perseverance, and wisdom to win an otherwise unwinnable war.

The devil's agents may be of flesh and blood, may they not?

The higher life begins for us ... when we renounce our own will to bow before a Divine law.

I must ask the Lord to direct the Holy Spirit within me to drain the life out of sin and in prayer.
