The more I am in a position to be tried in faith with reference to my body, my family, my service for the Lord, my business, etc., the more shall I have opportunity of seeing God's help and deliverance; and every fresh instance, in which He helps and delivers me, will tend towards the increase of my faith.

Sometimes God will deliver you from the fire, and other times God will make you fireproof.

Part of what you learn about life is that a wrecking ball can come out of nowhere, and it isn't just going to take out your left toe. It can hit you right in the middle and take you down.

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. —PSALM 34:17—18 For

The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me. Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. —PSALM 116:5—7

How we handle our tough times stays with us for a long time.

December is the toughest month of the year. Others are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, October, August, and February.

When ill luck begins, it does not come in sprinkles, but in showers.

Right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.

If you try to imagine as nearly as you can what an amount of misery, pain, and suffering of every kind the sun shines upon in its course, you will admit that it would be much better if on the earth as little as on the moon the sun were able to call forth the phenomena of life; and if, here as there, the surface were still in a crystalline state.

Use fear to become braver, pain to become stronger, trials to become wiser, and misfortune to become better.

When God sets His heart on you, you will be tried often. But the longer and harder your affliction, the more deeply God has set His heart on you, to show you His love and care.
