You must retain faith that you will prevail in the end and you must also confront the most brutal facts of your current reality.

With hope, failure is a skipping stone. Without hope, failure is a tombstone.

The first line grabs me by the throat. "Therefore we do not lose heart." Somebody knows how not to lose heart? I'm all ears. For we are losing heart. All of us. Daily. It is the single most unifying quality shared by the human race on the planet at this time. We are losing—or we have already lost—heart.

And so the great battle begins in earnest: the battle for your heart, the battle to find a life worth living, the battle not to lose heart as you find a life worth living.

I must choose between despair and Energy??I choose the latter.

Faith does not change my circumstances; faith changes me. Faith may not bring in the tuition check when I need it, but faith will give me what it takes to hang on.

As your faith is, such your hope will be. Hope is never ill when faith is well, nor strong if faith be weak.

Discouragement itself is a form of pride.

Faith supplies staying power. Anyone can keep going when the going is good, but some extra ingredient is needed to keep you fighting when it seems that everything is against you

We must not let ourselves fall into the vortex of pessimism. Faith can move mountains!

Going in faith does not necessarily mean going with serenity or without doubts. Faith can be difficult.

Faith is facing reality without being discouraged by it.
