This life soon be over, I say. Heaven last all ways.

God will make right all that is wrong, He will take away the lingering effect of sin and what's not right in our lives. He knows how painful life in this world can be.

Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven And bring you home again.

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis [Eternal rest give them, O Lord: and let perpetual light shine upon them].

Swing low, sweet chariot,Coming for to carry me home.

There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours.

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Those who have lost an infant are never, as it were, without an infant child. Their other children grow into manhood and womanhood, and suffer all the changes of mortality; but this one alone is rendered an immortal child; for death has arrested it with its kindly harshness, and blessed it into an eternal image of youth and innocence.

Our longing for immortality is good! It was put there on purpose. We were meant - from the moment of our creation - to live forever.
