Sometimes we are afraid because success puts pressure on us to continue to succeed.

You cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control what happens in you.

Most people want to avoid pain, and discipline is often painful. But we need to recognize that there are really two kinds of pain when it comes to our daily conduct. There's the pain of self-discipline and the pain of regret. Most people avoid the pain of self-discipline because it's the easy thing to do. What they may not realize is that the pain of self-discipline is momentary but the pay-off is long lasting.

If you want your life to be a magnificent story, then realize that you are its author. Every day you have the chance to write a new page in that story. I want to encourage you to fill those pages with responsibility to others and yourself. If you do, in the end you will not be disappointed.

Focus on your faith and feed it. The more energy and time you give it, the stronger it becomes. And anytime you feel afraid of doing something but go ahead and do it anyway, you will be reprogramming your attitude. When you feel fear, it will mean "go" instead of "stop," and "fight harder" instead of "give up.

Saying you believe in yourself will not guarantee your success, but saying you don't believe in yourself will guarantee your failure.

All I was responsible to do was share Christ with the person. It's not my job to save him or her. The failure lies in being one who never shares his or her faith with others. Fear of rejection, mistakes, and failure causes people to make the worst mistake of all—that of doing nothing. When you make a mistake, you can resolve never to make another one.
