We have to realize that our lives could be gone in a moment. There are no guarantees that we will be here at this time next year. Learn to live each day to the fullest. Don't complain. Don't focus on what's wrong. Be grateful for the opportunity to experience each day.

Surely, we all can look back and see things in our lives that we wish we would have done differently. But the Bible says, "Make the most of each day."4 Yesterday is gone; tomorrow may not come. You must live for today. Start right where you are. You can't do anything about what's gone, but you can do a great deal about what remains.

You can't be in neutral and hope to reach your full potential

When you wake up, choose to be happy. That is the fourth undeniable quality of a winner.

The problem with being in the past or being in the future is you will miss the present. David said, "This is the day the Lord has made." Today is a gift from God. Are you fully engaged, making the most of each moment?

Time taken from family activity and business to seek God's blessing is never wasted.

Cancer is such a wake-up call to remind us how high the cosmic stakes really are and how short and brief and frail life really is.
