What if rather than avoiding brokenness we embraced it? Welcomed it? And even prayed for it? "God, break me.

You have help that others might not see. An invisible power gives you strength when you feel weak. You have God's grace, God's power, God's comfort, and God's presence.

Knowing when and how to rest is knowing when and how to acknowledge your limitations and your dependence on God.

Maybe we should think about whether some imperfections might be a good thing. Maybe we should consider whether we're trying too hard to smooth all the rough edges.

Once a broken bone heals, it is often strongest at the point of the fracture. In the same way, God can take the shame of past failures and amazingly redirect their outcomes toward your future success.

Though Satan makes strong men weak, God is in the business of making weak men strong. Your past isn't the most important thing. Your future is.

Paul wrote these words: "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through [Christ] who gives me strength" (Phil. 4:12—13).

Today I get to experience God's strength when I am weak. He gives me everything I need to do what he's called me to do. Rather than a busy, bad day, I'm going to have a positive, productive one.
