God is our refuge and our portion. Meaning, we don't have to be enough. He is all we need. We either embrace that or we walk away empty-handed.

That we shouldn't base God's desire to help us on our opinions of ourselves. Otherwise we'd always be in over our heads. We need to start believing that he wants to help us. Even when we make mistakes.

Gratitude is what we radiate when we experience grace, and the soul was made to run on grace the way a 747 runs on rocket fuel.

Millions of children have had their imagination dwarfed and retarded by parents who removed as much as possible of the urge of necessity. By "making it easy" for your child you may be depriving the world of a genius. Bear in mind the fact that most of the progress that man has made came as the result of bitter, biting NECESSITY!

Grace releases people not only from sin but from shame.

We see the same scenario all too often today. People are told the good news of salvation by grace alone, only to respond with, "That's too simple. Where's the dignity? Where's the effort? If it's all that life changing, surely something sacrificial is required of me!

Grace strengthens us. It strengthens our hearts, awakens in us the courage to stand firm.

The size of a challenge should never be gauged in terms of our capability. What we have to offer will never be enough. God never calls us to provide; that's His responsibility. Instead, He calls us to commit whatever we have—even if it's no more than a sack lunch. His call comes with a promise:

Jesus once again brought His abundant power to the rescue of human inadequacy, turning an impossible situation into an opportunity to strengthen the confidence of His believers.

Sometime in my ministry, I am going to gather up enough courage to have a testimony time where the only thing we'll share is our failures.

Isn't it remarkable what God can do without our help? Sometimes we think, My company needs me. My church needs me. My family needs me. Hey, God must need me, too. No, He doesn't. He can manage quite well without us, remarkable though it may seem. In fact, He prefers us to step aside and leave the striving to Him.

God delights to do ... impossible things through improbable people to impart exceeding grace to undeserving recipients.
