John Bunyan, author of the classic book the Pilgrim's Progress, said "You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who cannot pay you back." Make a decision that you will live to give. Be on the lookout each day for somebody you can bless. Don't' live for yourself; learn to give yourself away, and your life will make a difference.

I love what Jesus said in Luke 19:29-30: "Everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, will be repaid many times over in this life" (NLT). Notice it doesn't say when you get to heaven God will bless you. It says, right here on the earth, if you give up anything for God's sake, He will reward you more than you can even imagine.

Your challenge is to live in such a way as to cause others to win.

Father, I know that You are a giver, and I want to be like You. Please help me to hold loosely those things You have placed in my hands, and help me to always be ready to give to others in the same way You have given to me.
